According to the Global Casting Production Survey conducted by the American Foundry Association Modern Casting Magazine, the global casting production was slightly less than 110 million tons in 2019, a decrease of 3.2% from 2018.
In the past two years (2018-2019), 22 of the 29 countries have decreased their output, which have participated in the census and provided casting output data. China, India and the United States once again ranked the top three in casting output. As the world's largest casting producer, China produced 48.75 million tons of castings in 2019, a decrease of 1.2%. This is the second consecutive year of decline in output. Casting production in India fell by 14.2%, while production in the United States increased by 5.1%. Followed by Japan, Germany, Russia, Mexico, South Korea, Turkey, and Brazil. Among them, Turkey once again ranks among the top 10 castings production.
