On June 1-2, 2019, the 2019 Chenzhou•Jiahe County Tangcun Town Vision Cup Chess Exchange Competition was held in Yinghua Village, Tangcun Town. A total of 114 chess amateurs from 10 teams from Chenzhou, Guiyang, Linwu, Yizhang, Anren, Jiahe, Tangcun Township Enterprises, and Lanshan County participated.
The event was divided into an open group and a member group. After two days of intense competition, the top three in the open group were Ou Zhaofang from the Chenzhou team, Luo Lutian from the Linwu team, and Liu Huanzhao from the Yongxing team; the top three in the member group are Cao Jinping, Li Aisheng, and Li Benyuan of the Jiahe team; the top six teams are the Chenzhou team, Guiyang team, Linwu team, Tangcun Enterprises, Yongxing team, and Anren teams. Through the competition, it not only enhanced the cultural exchanges in the surrounding counties and cities, but also strengthened the skills exchange among chess friends. It has passed on the traditional culture and promoted the popularization of the chess movement.
Jiahe County was established in 1639, covering an area of 699 square kilometers, governing 9 towns and 1 township, with a population of 420,000. It is one of the counties with the smallest area and the highest population density in the province.
